Dear Deputy Bell;
Just a few lines to Thank you, The Riverside Sheriff’s Association and the Debbie Chisholm Memorial Foundation for the wonderful times you have given my son, Eric Keith Wilson II.
When Eric was stricken with osteosarcoma at the end of October 1994, followed by amputation of his right leg, I thought I would never again see that happy face with those beautiful big brown eyes filled with their former glow and excitement. But your Foundation gave him all of that back. Now he glows again every time he tells someone how the Sheriff’s Association granted his wish to ride Amtrak, cross country with his family, and the wonderful time spent at Disney World.
In those dark days, your organization gave him the hope he so desperately needed. Now Eric is in remission. The future may be uncertain, but no matter what happens and how rough the road may become, he can always look back and remember the dream come true made possible by the Sheriff’s Association out of the goodness of their heart.
Words are not enough to express the joy you have given my family and the gratitude we feel for all you’ve done. We can never repay your thoughtfulness except to say thanks to all of you for giving back my "Sunshine."
Mrs. Lilia Wilson
